Coronavirus update

We are extremely pleased to announce that following the latest Welsh Government announcement, self contained holiday businesses can prepare to reopen from the 13th July 2020.

To ensure the upmost safety of our guests, and ourselves, we have put into place some strict procedures around cleaning, check-in and check-out and social distancing going forwards.

We would like to ask guests to please bring hand sanitiser gel with them where possible (we do have a spare bottle if you forget!) and to bring any board games you’d like to play during your stay with you, as for the time being we have removed these for your safety.

Social Distancing Measures
Tŷ Barcud is an individual, self contained glamping pod in its own meadow so ideal for social distancing. Because the site is completely your own, this means you will not have to share anything for the duration of your stay. The pod is located 9 miles from Aberystwyth and surrounded by beautiful rural countryside so it is entirely possible to enjoy a quiet and distanced break with us.

Check in/out will be at a social distance and we are now implementing a new contactless check-in system which you can opt for if you’d like to. The local pub has a takeaway service at the weekend and all Aberystwyth shops implement social distancing measures.

Cleanliness and Housekeeping
Prior to your arrival the pod has been deep cleaned for your safety. We use a product that kills 99.9999% of all germs and all items that may have been used by other guests have been thoroughly cleaned.
All crockery and cutlery has been through the dishwasher. The tv remote control is in a new bag – please use it with the bag in place.
We use clean double coverings on the duvet and pillows, clean sheets etc and a clean mattress cover each stay. We have cleaned the sofa and we ask that you keep the covers on the arms as an additional precaution. All this has been done so that you can relax and have a lovely stay in Tŷ Barcud.

We have implemented a Coronavirus booking guarantee so that the balance of your stay is now due 10 days before your arrival date and you can rearrange your stay for any date up to 18 months ahead. We will also be prepared to discuss a deposit refund if you have to cancel due to the virus restrictions – please call us to discuss.

All of these details will be emailed over to you a week before your stay and if you have any questions or concerns in the meantime, please let us know.

Thank you again for all of your support during this time of uncertainty.
Stay safe everyone!
Hugh and Barb
